3. Privacy Policy Section for SMS Messaging

SMS Communications

DulyHandled may use text messaging (SMS) to communicate with contractors regarding account setup, service updates, onboarding notifications, and other service-related information. Consent to receive SMS is optional and is never required to request access or use the service. You opt in only by checking the optional SMS consent box on our website signup form at dulyhandled.com/get-started, or by texting our assistant number first.

Message frequency may vary based on your account activity and service usage. Standard message and data rates may apply. You may opt out of SMS communications at any time by replying STOP to any message.

Data Use and Sharing

We respect your privacy. Your contact information, including your mobile number, will only be used to provide the services you requested and will not be sold, rented, or shared with any third parties for marketing purposes. DulyHandled may share limited data with contracted service providers solely for the purpose of delivering the service or managing communication systems (e.g., Twilio for SMS delivery, AssemblyAI for voice transcription, Anthropic for translation).

Mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in data are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes at any time.

Data Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect contractor information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. SMS message content is encrypted in transit between DulyHandled and our SMS delivery provider. No system is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security of any data transmitted over the internet or stored on our systems.

Carrier Disclaimer

Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Additional Use of SMS in the DulyHandled Service

Once a contractor is onboarded, the DulyHandled assistant number may also be used to coordinate with the contractor's own pre-existing business contacts (clients, crew, vendors) over SMS as part of the contractor's normal project communication. Contractors are responsible for obtaining permission from each such contact before adding them to the service. See our Terms for the contractor's responsibilities.

4. Third-party service providers

To operate DulyHandled we rely on third-party service providers. Each processes only the data necessary to perform their role, under their own published privacy policies.

We do not share personal information with any third party for their own marketing purposes. On written request to privacy@dulyhandled.com, we can provide the current list of specific vendors we use.

5. Data retention

6. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including TLS encryption in transit, hashed passwords, tenant-isolated database access, audit logging of sensitive data access, and encrypted storage of third-party API credentials. No system is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee the absolute security of any data transmitted over the internet.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), or similar laws, including:

To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@dulyhandled.com. We will respond within a reasonable time, typically 30 days.

8. Children

DulyHandled is intended for use by adults in a business context. It is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. International users

DulyHandled is operated in the United States. If you access the service from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S. By using the service, you consent to this transfer.
